DESCRIPTION:
EPW - Unsigned Swiss, quarter-hour repeater with jacquemart automaton, dial with figures striking bells, reverse with three figure erotic scene beneath lid, 54mm, modified 14K gold American made BWCCo HC, gold cuvette has been cut out to accomodate erotic automaton scene, metal dial with colorful painting, SW-SS, lever escapement, gilt mvt, s#705320 within case. Gross weight of assembled watch 81.6 dwt (127.0 g). The repeater and automaton function are activated by a slide in the band. Our consignor notes that this piece was created circa 1980 by Alex Ehrblat.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, good repeat and automaton function, good repeat tone when dial up but with lessened tone to hour strike when in other positions, mvt not inspected for cosmetic condution due to construction; dial with some fine scratches; excellent hands; case shows very little wear, some dings to lower perimeter of rear, some dings to band, mild denting to band at 9, good engine turning detail with mild reduction at shoulders; tight bow, crown shows very little wear; good glass crystal.
